Retro fit new air box?

I'm going through my 08 525, and am wondering if the side load airbox from the newer bikes might fit. I've considered a new bike, but other than the airbox I love my 08, and I don't want to go thru all of the hassel of setting up a new bike for my size & weight.

Why not buy the Boano carbon sidecovers that give an easier access to the airfilter?

looks great but how does one buy this stuff without going to Italy?

I ordered one, only other one I know of is Hawaii dirt rider, I think it took 4-5 months each time. Still not as nice as the new bike.

I waited 4 months or more. It's the only order that Beta hasn't gotten right. ...It's Boano in italy so I know it's more involved than just Beta . I think they are custom made or something.. I don't care I wasn't happy . It pissed me off so I said eff it. I cancelled the order. I was going to make my own but just haven't gotten around to it . Maybe it's better to call up italy.
