Picked up a '08 525RS last weekend for my first non-Japanese motorcycle. I tore it down for servicing and to repair the damage from the previous owner. Its interesting to see how compact and simple everything seems to be.

Congrats on the purchase. These are top notch bikes. I love my 05 450RR. Keep the valves in check, clean your air filter, and change the oil often and the bike will perform flawlessly. Other than the starter intermediate gear failing (KTM heat treating issue on 04-05 RFS engines) on my bike, its taken quite a beating and held up VERY well.
