    New Beta in Virginia

Bought a new '11 450RR Factory Edition. I take delivery at the end of February, but I visit it every weekend. I've raced VXCS and VCHSS in Virginia, and ran the GNCC's a few years back.
I am definitely looking forward to getting some seat time on the new ride. Pictures and mods to follow...

Welcome and congrats on the new bike. With your experience your are gonna love it!

I used to live in Neport News, right across the James. We used to go to the movie theatres on Hollywood and Ghent!

OK, I took possession of my new Italian girlfriend. She got an inch taken off each end of the handlebars. Cycra Probend hand guards were installed. I repurposed the Beta flag handguards and mounted them on the aluminum handguards from Cycra. Looks sano.

I installed the fan kit and refilled the radiator with Engine Ice. She should run cool. I took the fuel cap breather tube off and installed one of those little anodized red breather caps onto the anodized fuel cap.

The lovely Commonwealth of Virginia, Department of Motor Vehicles decided that I should have a license plate for a bike this pretty. So, now I have a legally registered 450RR.

I have to get some mirrors and a horn to make her look somewhat legal when I ride on the street. I also have a '10 KTM 530EXC Champions Edition that I outfitted for the street, so I don't need another dualsport. The Beta is gonna be a dirty girl!

Thanks to Tim Pilg, President American Beta, and Dave Turner of Get Dirty Dirt Bikes in California for making this all happen.

Pics will follow when I read up on how to post them.

You got two heavy hitters helping you out there, they're both good people to deal with. I am very interested to get a full comparision between the orange and white! Hint hint. Dualstar.com makes an $18.00 dollar mirror that I have used on my last two bikes.

    Thumbs up

The www.dual-star.com mirrors are very nice. They are sometimes difficult to get ahold of, so keep trying on their toll-free number.

I hope that it wasn't a one way check valve that you added to your fuel tank as I have heard many horror stories about pressure build up they create causing problems .
